Say goodbye to the end, hello to a new beginning and pick a word that has some meaning just to me...

I have been trying to come up with my word for 2010..this is an concept I read about on Ali Edward's blog and decided I would play along this year...coming up with the WORD takes some time..alot of words were rattling around in my brain...but for me the word NOW is perfect...so many things I want to do..create...make.So I need to make it happen NOW...when will it be a better time. One word can be very powerful.

This a 7gypsies painter tray I have made for my sister Candee for Christmas...she is a real gypsy girl....never leaves a thrift store empty handed!

I know she is going to love it..can hardly wait for her to see it...The frame with the bird, opens up and there is a photo of her at a craft fair..so cute..

I have to laugh. she came over today we made some cute gifts and I went out to her truck to get something she needed,,,and hanging from her rearview mirror is a sign that says...Radioactive Heap...I loved it...

Have cards made & mailed, packages sent...except for one..Friday.. that is happening Friday..presents wrapped...still have some shopping to finish.. wish me luck..hope the parking fairy is kind to me...waiting for UPS to make it's deliveries...tree up..house is decorated...meals planned..cookies baked...I think we are almost ready...

Murphy and Carrie ( stella , too) arrive on Wednesday...planning on celebrating with them..Murphy just signed a contract with Four Star Distribution..we are so excited and happy for him...way to go Murphy...We have champagne chilling!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone...

We are headed up north to spend the day with our friends & get a head start on celebrating Lori's(bff) BD...woo hoo...

The boys are scattered this year so we took the day off ...I know Allan is suffering..deep frying a turkey is one of his favorite meals to prepare....

Palmer & Alexis are in Prescott with her family....Murphy & Carrie are in LA at her aunts...we'll see you all soon...as well as Lulu and Stella....

I have something that I am working on.....most of you know my parents lived in about 70 plus houses in the years they were married..which was 65 years...almost 40 of them were in Arizona...can you imagine...I barely remember them....anyway...I have been photographing as many of them as I can.( some are gone) we even took a shot of the beach house in Del Mar when we were there over Labor Day ...and making a book for my Dad...if any of you have any pictures let me know....it has been a daunting task....but fun...As soon as it is complete...you'll be the first to know! Oh just fyi they were not in the military...

We have been off celebrating Allan's birthday...we always go somewhere new & this year was no exception...we headed to the low country for 3 days ..Charleston to be exact then off to Savannah for another 3 days...

Charleston we will be back...loved it...stayed at The Charleston Place Hotel...one word FABULOUS...seriously I never felt so pampered...ever heard of the Orient Express? These are the same people...really an experience...Allan really went above and beyond...

My friends from ILX days..Mike and Tiffany drove from Myrtle Beach and met us for breakfast..they brought Alexis..she is all grown up..so fun to see them all!

We went to the shore, drove on country roads, toured a plantation & walked & walked & walked...it was the best....

Did I mention King Street? Charming....loved it.

Goodbye Summer

This weekend was the official end of sweet summer...kids back in school ... halloween candy is stocked on the shelves...even here in Phoenix the air is getting cooler...I may have to get out my winter shoes....black havaianna's...

We spent these last glorius days of the season in Southern California...it was fabulous..The cool breeze..marine layer burning off early everyday...long walks...surf...sand & horses! Yes , Sunday at the races in Del Mar...what a perfect day..Carrie..started us off winning the first race of the day...woo hoo...her entire winnings went for a glass of beer for Murphy! We all came home winners that day..then a quick tour of Del Mar,stopped by Pop and Keke's old beach house for some photos...then down to Jakes for dinner...we were all exhausted by the time we got back to the hotel...beach on Monday..got there early..found a parking spot..unloaded surf boards, chairs, umbrellas,coolers..bags..scored a prime spot ...slathered on the sunscreen.. everyone except Allan...he was in the shade..but even he may have gotten some sun! Awesome day....we'll be back next year..can hardly wait!

Getting ready forBIL Bill's visit next week..I have the blender all primed for Margaritas!

Finishing up all my projects for CE which is coming in just about 10 days..I can't believe it is almost here..woo hoo! Problem is...I keep thinking of things to make...I need to stop!

We decided to go to the beach over Labor Day weekend..so trying to get things lined up for that too..I am really looking forward to getting sand between my toes! Last summer when we were there Allan was working..so I was solo during the day..this will be much better..I know he wants to check out some resturants in Little Italy and maybe we will make it to Del Mar to eat at Jakes...I love that place...I am hoping we can meet up with my friend John from high school & his family..too.. We haven't seen each other in a really long time...Murphy & Carrie are going to come down from the OC and meet up with us...it will be fun..Allan you really need this trip...

This past week just flew by..I am not sure where it went...getting ready for CE which in in about 2 weeks..

My charms arrived from the charm swap I am involved in..they are really fabulous..I soon as I get them all arranged on my necklace & bracelet I will post a photo...but they are amazing..a really talented group of chickies! I was so impressed I signed up for the 2nd chance swap as well...

Pop had surgery Tuesday..so that took up a big chunk of time..then running meals to his house..we were all gathered around..he loves all the attention!

Candee had a birthday..which we are celebrating here tomorrow...I am making her homemade peach ice cream, which is in the works...the peaches are sliced and sugared..waiting to be added to the milk and cream mixture...oh yum... it will go with the peach pie she requested..

Made a trip to Palmer's with a piece of vintage furniture I had been working on...it is delivered..but still needs some work...I promise to get it done Palmer! At least it is there instead of here!

Barney's opens here October 15th..Carrie we need to be there! Did you get my message?

Planning a trip somewhere over Labor Day..any ideas?

Yesterday Allan & I went and saw Julie/Julia...loved it!

Last night a bunch of the girls that are going to CE in August got together at SBE in Mesa....What fun!

Veronica, ( thank you for the RAK.)..was all decked out in the cutest zebra apron, made all of us the cutest raks..in these polka dots bags...I loved the bag! It all about the presentation!

What a great group of girls..Shannon, Christa (the bingo diva), Michelle, Karen, Melissa,Tammy and Donna... nice to finally meet all of you! That is the latest I have been up in along time...seeing that I have tranformed into a morning person..yikes! Thanks for the fun evening...
