I saw this on my sister's, Callie blog, thought it was a cute idea, so I signed up! And now I'm paying it forward.

Goodbye Summer

This weekend was the official end of sweet summer...kids back in school ... halloween candy is stocked on the shelves...even here in Phoenix the air is getting cooler...I may have to get out my winter shoes....black havaianna's...

We spent these last glorius days of the season in Southern California...it was fabulous..The cool breeze..marine layer burning off early everyday...long walks...surf...sand & horses! Yes , Sunday at the races in Del Mar...what a perfect day..Carrie..started us off winning the first race of the day...woo hoo...her entire winnings went for a glass of beer for Murphy! We all came home winners that day..then a quick tour of Del Mar,stopped by Pop and Keke's old beach house for some photos...then down to Jakes for dinner...we were all exhausted by the time we got back to the hotel...beach on Monday..got there early..found a parking spot..unloaded surf boards, chairs, umbrellas,coolers..bags..scored a prime spot ...slathered on the sunscreen.. everyone except Allan...he was in the shade..but even he may have gotten some sun! Awesome day....we'll be back next year..can hardly wait!

Creative Escape...here we come! Woo Hoo !

This is a water bottle carrier I made for some friends at CE..which starts this week...650 of my new best friends get together to play with paper, have some fun..I suppose we will partake in a few beverages...not just aqua!

Today Allan & I are attending a birthday party for Julia Child in Kierland...I am sure they will be serving something yummy & French! Happy Birthday Julia!

Getting ready forBIL Bill's visit next week..I have the blender all primed for Margaritas!

Finishing up all my projects for CE which is coming in just about 10 days..I can't believe it is almost here..woo hoo! Problem is...I keep thinking of things to make...I need to stop!

We decided to go to the beach over Labor Day weekend..so trying to get things lined up for that too..I am really looking forward to getting sand between my toes! Last summer when we were there Allan was working..so I was solo during the day..this will be much better..I know he wants to check out some resturants in Little Italy and maybe we will make it to Del Mar to eat at Jakes...I love that place...I am hoping we can meet up with my friend John from high school & his family..too.. We haven't seen each other in a really long time...Murphy & Carrie are going to come down from the OC and meet up with us...it will be fun..Allan you really need this trip...
